*IMPORTANT* Changes to our Project

Dear Participant,

The Active Leicester: Braunstone & Rowley Fields was a 3 year project that started in January 2016 and officially ended January 2019. The aim of the project was to provide people with the tools to become more active and healthier by offering a variety of sports and fitness sessions.

The project has been a massive success and has enabled individuals to make positive changes such as becoming fitter and healthier, gaining new friends and increasing self-confidence. We have engaged with just under 3,200 local people, with just over 15,000 repeat attendances to project sessions and events.

We have been fortunate enough to be able to extend the delivery of sessions for free until the end of March 2019, as we are very keen to continue aspects of the project to ensure that local people still have access to physical activity sessions delivered in the community. However, from April onwards a small charge will be introduced to some of our sessions to ensure that they continue and we are able to cover the cost of the facility and instructor.

Here is an outline of how the project will look as of April 1st 2019:

We also recommend liking our Facebook page to keep up to date with our exciting plans for the future, including our future running of ‘The Braunstone Grove’, a multi-use sport and activity centre.
