Active Leicester: Braunstone and Rowley Fields are pleased to offer local residents the chance to take part in free Yoga sessions, starting on Tuesday 20th February at the BRITE Centre!!
In partnership with the 'Be Happy Yoga Project', residents will now have the opportunity to attend this relaxing and highly beneficial activity, adding to the long list of fun, free and active sessions already available!
Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing.
There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain – depression and stress.
